Lance Spencer – Surrey County Council Candidate for Goldsworth East and Horsell Village
Lance Spencer has been the County Councillor for Goldsworth East and Horsell Village since May 2021. His division spans four borough wards, each with unique needs. Lance has been particularly active in extending the 20 mph zone in Horsell and serves as Chair of the Greener Futures Reference Group and Vice Chair of the Community, Environment, and Highways Select Committee.
A key priority for Lance has been supporting families of children with special educational needs. He has raised concerns at the council about the inadequate services available to these children and their families. Additionally, Lance has advocated for better adult social care support, which has been impacted by central government budget cuts.
In his four years as a county councillor, Lance has handled over 400 pieces of casework, resolving many issues and pushing for more funding from central government where necessary. He has also secured funding for local projects like solar panels at churches and improvements to community sports facilities.
Lance said, “I am running for re-election in May because there is still so much to do to drive up standards in County Hall. I am determined to continue my work improving local infrastructure, protecting the environment, and supporting vulnerable residents.”
