Attia Aslam

Attia Aslam has lived in Pyrford for over twenty years, and through her charitable work with Angelic Network, she has been able to develop strong relationships with all parts of her local community. She regularly works with families that might be struggling to access information on support services or language assistance. Attia gained her degree from Punjab University, and currently works as an outreach officer for Surrey Coalition of Disabled People. She also helps to deliver courses to enable local residents to improve their IT skills. As such, she is passionate about local services and the need for them to be managed and governed responsibly.

Speaking to local residents, Attia knows many are concerned about the possible impact of the proposed development at West Hall. While the land has already been removed from Green Belt under the last Conservative administration, she is committed to ensuring any development goes hand-in-hand with the necessary infrastructure, including school places and highways improvements.

Attia is delighted to stand as the Liberal Democrat candidate for Pyrford in this May’s local elections, and to join the existing brilliant Lib Dem team. A vote for Attia will help to ensure residents of Pyrford elect a great local champion to work hard for them and represent them.
