Woking Liberal Democrats Launch National Health Service Inquiry

10 Jan 2005
Anne Lee and Ian Johnson Launching NHS Inquiry

In launching the Inquiry, which is being delivered to 40,000 homes in Woking, Dr Anne Lee said: "people have contacted me with a range of concerns about health-care provision across the Borough. Most people are complimentary about the care they have received from doctors and nurses. Unfortunately they are still reporting worries about waiting times for specialist appointments, the availability of specialist equipment at St Peters and concerns about the shortage of GPs and national health dentists.

"The inquiry asks about access to doctors, nurses, dentists and other health care professionals such as physiotherapists.

"The responses will give me a good picture of the service that people in Woking actually receive. I will need all this information if I am to fight for the best possible resources for the residents of the borough."
