Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate Will Forster for Woking has said the seat is “neck and neck”, and called for the Conservative Party to be kicked out of Woking Constituency.

The Lib Dems came a close second place at the last General Election in 2019 and are in pole position to beat the Conservatives this time, having wiped them off Woking Borough Council in this month’s local elections.  Labour came a distant third place at the last General Election and have just one Councillor in Woking.

The Lib Dems are on the up after beating the Conservatives in the May local elections and winning four stunning parliamentary by-election victories since the last General Election.

Lib Dem candidate Will Forster will be campaigning for a fair deal for Woking Council following the Conservatives almost bankrupting it, pushing for action to save our NHS, tackle the cost of living crisis, and end the sewage scandal.

Responding to Rishi Sunak calling a General Election, Lib Dem Parliamentary candidate for Woking, Will Forster said:

“This election is a once-in-a-generation chance to kick the Conservatives out of power and finally deliver the change our area so desperately needs.”

“It’s clear that only the Lib Dems can beat the Conservatives in Woking, it’s neck and neck here and every vote will count.”

“People are telling me they’re fed up with years of chaos and neglect under this out-of-touch Conservative Government.”

“After years of struggling to get a GP appointment, soaring rents and mortgages and our rivers being polluted by filthy sewage, it’s time for a change in Woking”.

“As the next MP for Woking, I would stand up for local health services, tackle the sewage scandal, help with the cost of living and be a strong voice for our community in Parliament.”
