Woking is part of a Voter ID pilot project being run by the Cabinet office for the elections on May 3rd.

In addition to being on the Electoral Roll (register here!), voters will be required to bring a form of photographic ID to the polling station.

Woking Borough Council has published a list of forms of photo ID that will be accepted (details here);

If you do not have any of the above Photo ID, you can apply for a Local Elector Card for no charge (form here and must submit it by 5pm Wed 2nd May).

If you have none of necessary ID documents, or documents to get a Local Elector Card, someone you know can confirm who you are instead. Contact Electoral Services on 01483 755855 or email electorcard@woking.gov.uk for more information on this process.

Postal Voting is unchanged and not part of the pilot, if the above seems a drag, why not register for a postal vote?
