Livi to remain accessible in Woking for now!
Last week, residents across Woking were told that they could no longer use Livi to see a doctor.
Like many people, the Lib Dems were shocked that this popular service was going to be stopped out of the blue. That is why Councillor Will Forster wrote to the local NHS asking what is going to replace this simple and effective service.
Will Forster is pleased to report that he has had a response about the sudden withdrawal of Livi from local surgeries. They have confirmed that residents will be able to continue to use of Livi in the short-term until the full range of additional services are available.
Lib Dem Councillor and Parliamentary Candidate for Woking, Will Forster, said:
"I am sure this is welcome news to those who use the service. As well as efforts to provide more face-to-face appointments and introducing new booking services, the NHS have committed to continuing to provide remote consultations for those who want them."
"I will continue to monitor progress in the implementation of these changes, but I welcome feedback from Woking residents on how the provision of remote consultations is progressing across the GP surgeries in the Borough."
