Brexit Party standing down in Woking, shows Farage is worried about Lib Dems stopping Brexit.
On Monday, 11th November, Nigel Farage announced that the Brexit Party will not be standing a General Election candidate in Woking and other Conservative held seats.
Will Forster, the Lib Dem Candidate for Woking, said:
"Nigel Farage's comments show he is running scared of the Lib Dems as the strongest Remain party in areas like Woking. He knows that we are the only party at this election that can take seats, including Woking from the Tories and stop Brexit."
"Boris Johnson's Conservatives and the Brexit Party are now one and the same. Both want to see an extreme Brexit that will damage our local economy, public services, particularly the NHS, and limit opportunities for future generations."
"Woking is an open, inclusive and multicultural place to live and work . It is disgraceful that the local Tory Party, led by our MP, is now supported by a Brexit Party that seeks to propagate intolerance and divisiveness. Woking should be represented by someone who will uphold our tolerant society against those who hold such views."
"Voters in Woking have a historic opportunity at this election to elect me as their Lib Dem MP, Stop Brexit and build a brighter future for our country."
