Cllr Norman Johns and Cllr Rosie Sharpley have been campaigning across Woking to raise awareness of the environmental impact of using plastic bags.

Following a Motion to Council, Norman and Rosie made contact with shopkeepers in the town to get " buy in".

Norman says " I am so encouraged by the response I have had from local residents, shopkeepers and indeed the local press. Rosie says "there has never been a better time to engage with people especially as people are more aware of the impact our actions have on the world around us, not least wildlife."

She displays bags that she promoted in previous years when Chair of the Planning & Enviornment Committee.
