HORROR AT THE OUTCOME OF THE IRAQ WAR

20 Sep 2004

Horror at the outcome of the Iraq war is spread across all sectors of the Woking Community, Dr Anne Lee told the Liberal Democrats at their national conference in Bournemouth this morning.

"Lest we forget, Labour took us to war, yet the Butler Committee concluded that Iraq was of no more immediate concern than other countries, and Tony Blair has still not apologised. The speech received a warm response from the conference and was endorsed by similar sentiments expressed in speeches by Sir Menzies Campbell MP QC and Baroness Shirley Williams.
