Ann-Marie Barker: Your strong local voice for Goldsworth Park

Ann-Marie has been a councillor for Goldsworth Park since 2016, having previously served on Woking Council for 8 years. She is currently Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group on the Council.

Ann-Marie lives with her husband and two daughters and Daisy the dog. Away from the Council she is Head of Research at a business to business consultancy. When she finds any spare time she enjoys walking and cycling, learning about local history, theatre, cinema and reading.

As a local representative Ann-Marie is particularly proud of helping residents when things need doing, getting trees cut back, litter and fly-tipping cleared up, missed bins collected, doors replaced and anti-social behaviour tackled. She has ensured that Goldsworth Park accessed and spent its Community Infrastructure Levy funds to provide new benches and tables at the lake.

Ann-Marie has secured council support to promote more considerate use of fireworks, to encourage our MP to support the Climate and Ecological Emergency bill, to look for efficiencies on the over budget Victoria Square development and to assess the infrastructure needs of the east of Woking,

Ann-Marie is well known for seeking the best deal for Goldsworth Park residents and robustly holding the Council and its officers to account.
